Tianjin Port Situation 12th Week 2026
Between March 1–16, a total of 24 trains were dispatched from Tianjin Port to Erenhot / Zamiin-Uud.
Average transit time
▪️ Container release time at Tianjin: 4–8 days
▪️ Tianjin ➡️ Erenhot / Zamiin-Uud: 4–7 days
▪️ Zamiin-Uud ➡️ Ulaanbaatar: 4–7 days
Current backlog
At the Tianjin rail terminal, 2,200 TEU (approximately 1,100 containers) are waiting to be transported to Mongolia.
Due to the conflict around the Strait of Hormuz, fuel supply in China has been disrupted since March 6. As a result, transportation costs have increased, and trucking rates from Xingang Port to Erenhot have risen by 500 yuan per truck.
Truck transportation rates may change again toward the end of March. Following the Iran-related conflict, most ocean carriers have rerouted shipments away from the Red Sea via the Cape of Good Hope, resulting in an increase of 12–15 days in transit time on the Europe–Asia route.
