Between May 1–24, a total of 39 freight trains operated from Tianjin Port to the Erenhot / Zamyn-Uud route.

There is currently a backlog of approximately 3,400 TEU, or around 1,700 containers, waiting at Tianjin railway station for transportation to Mongolia.

Containers are experiencing waiting times of 21–28 days upon arrival in Tianjin, with an additional 7–10 days required for transportation to Zamyn-Uud.

At the six customs inspection yards in Ulaanbaatar, there are currently 847 containers in total, including:

• 610 loaded containers
• 237 empty containers

Public holiday closures for customs organizations will begin on May 27. Regions including the Middle East, Southeast Asia (SEA), South Asia, and North Africa will enter holiday periods, which may result in temporary suspension or significant delays in cargo handling and transportation operations.

Construction has officially commenced on the 435 km heavy-duty dedicated highway connecting Choir and Zamyn-Uud in Mongolia, which will be built by a Chinese enterprise.

The Zamyn-Uud road border crossing will be closed on May 31 and June 1.
