Tianjin Port Situation – 2nd Week 2026
Greetings,
There is currently a backlog of approximately 1,000 TEU, equivalent to around 500 containers, awaiting transportation to Mongolia at the Tianjin railway terminal.
Containers arriving at Tianjin Port are being released after an average of 7–14 days. From the port, containers are transported to the Erenhot / Zamyn-Uud direction within an average transit time of 7–14 days.
Transportation from Zamyn-Uud to Ulaanbaatar takes approximately 5–10 days on average.
At present, there are a total of 908 containers located at six customs control yards in Ulaanbaatar, of which:
Loaded containers: 594
Empty containers: 314
Due to insufficient wagon availability at Zamyn-Uud, cargo transportation continues to experience delays.
